Med+Clean can provide terminal cleaning for your operating room, ambulatory surgery center or any other room type as needed. Terminal cleaning in simplistic form merely refers to a method of “cleaning” performed in healthcare settings to prevent the spread of infection. This type of cleaning is fairly common in most healthcare settings as it drastically reduces the spread of infection in patients. For example, Clostridium Difficile, more commonly referred to as c. diff, is a deadly and resistant bacterial infection. Approximately 14,000 Americans die every year from this infection and another 300,000 are hospitalized, according to reports from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Clearly, it is seen that death and sickness can occur when sanitary conditions aren’t fulfilled and maintained as called for by industry standards.
