Founded in Georgia as a small family-owned company, Med+Clean has been fortunate through hard work and dedication to remain a family-owned organization that continues to excel in an industry hampered by mediocrity. Originally, Med+Clean was known as Creative Building Solutions and provided janitorial and facility-maintenance services to all types of institutions and facilities. The owner and founder, Blake Hicks, began to notice that many medical facilities he frequented were dirty, grimy, soiled, etc. His grandfather, James M. Hicks, contracted MRSA while in the hospital for pneumonia and ultimately led to his passing. It was at this time that Blake knew he had to do something to make a difference in the cleaning industry with special focus on the medical field.

 

Blake, as known by many, suffers from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) with a primary focus on contagious germs and diseases. Fortunately, he has taken this phobia of germs and turned it into a positive energy that is focused on delivering the highest-quality cleaning available in the medical field. The education, understanding, and desire to combat infections, germs, and viruses makes Blake the perfect leader and captain aboard the Med+Clean ship.

 

Taking all of his focus and energy, Blake decided to focus solely on medical facilities to ensure that they were getting the absolute best in germ warfare. As an entrepreneur, Blake is always thinking of the next best thing and it dawned on him one day that he could help his clientele even further by providing medical waste removal services. Being an avid learner, he quickly began his studies on hazardous waste management, sharps collection, and disposal methods. After much thought and training, Blake has now established Med+Clean as not only a medical cleaning company but also a bio hazardous waste collection company also known as Med+Clean Disposal.
